Funding source(s): Barrow Cadbury Fund Ltd. Applicant overview: The ACF was established in 1989 and became a registered charity that same year. The Association aims to further charitable grant making trusts and other institutions for the public benefit by, 1) advancing the education of the public in such trusts and institutions by carrying out research and publishing the results, and, 2) promoting the collective and individual effectiveness of such trusts and institutions and better methods of administration and management of their resources. Nature of support: In 2004 the Trust approved a grant of £15,000 to the ACF was approved to host fringe meetings, in partnership with the Barrow Cadbury Trust, at each of the three main political party conferences in Autumn 2005. A grant variation was subsequently agreed in 2007 allowing the ACF to use half of the funds for a UK-based trust and foundation conference in Northern Ireland. Minutes: F04/05-4, F06/07-16.
