Applicant overview: COPE is a registered charity set up in 1995 in response to major concerns over the excessive number of African Caribbean males being admitted into psychiatric hospital. Since that time COPE have developed a centre which provides mental health support services to adults, young people, families and children. They also provide a range of other support services including workshops on domestic violence, debt counselling, health awareness and support to gain employment.
