The Group seeks to change the way in which budget policy is made by raising gender awareness of national economic planners, challenging male focused models, with which they work, and make the reality of women's economic situation visible to them. The WBG was originally linked to the Fawcett Society but became an independent registered company in 2002. Nature of support: In 2005 the Fund agreed to grants totalling £90,099 over three years for a programme 'Transforming Policy to End Women's Poverty: Providing the Evidence Base'. Minutes: F04/05-12.
