The Walsall Christian Council works closely with the local authority and local inhabitants to encourage good community relations. The Churches Committee for Migrant Workers in Western Europe was established to investigate the implications of migration into Western Europe. Nature of support: In 1971 the Trust approved a grant of £250 for three years to the Walsall Christian Council to support the salary of race relations worker. In 1972 the Trust approved a £500 grant towards the travel costs of a UK delegation to attend a migration conference in Geneva sponsored by the Churches Committee for Migrant Workers in Western Europe. The Fund provided £600 towards the living expenses of Reverend George Pottinger during his Ph.D studies at Boston University. Minutes: B&GSCT 3400, B&GSCT 3554, B&GSCT 3484, BCF 1119, BCF 1138.
