As part of its remit the church operates a neighbourhood advice service run by two ministers. Nature of support: In 1981 the Trust made a grant of up to £4,000 to support a member of staff working primarily with Bengali women. Later that year the Trust approved a grant of up to £5,000 towards the appointment of a second worker. In 1983 three annual grants of £5,000 per annum were approved for SJAC. A further staff salary grant of £4,000 was approved that year. In 1984 three annual grants towards staff wages were approved at up to £7,000 per annum. In 1985 the Trust made a travel grant of £3,000 for a visit to Bangladesh. A total of £2,630 was actually paid.
