Applicant overview: The BDDT evolved out of discussions between the Arts Council, regional arts associations, charitable trusts and many committed black practitioners in 1984. The Trust is a collection of voices whose purpose is to exert influence and create the atmosphere for change in the interest of the art forms and of those who wish to practice and maintain it.
