Applicant overview: The BLCLC was established as a limited company in 1992 with the objective of unifying churches on an economic basis to form a basis for economic unity and regeneration in order to redress the imbalance of economic backwardness that exists within the Afro-Caribbean and Christian community by the establishment of social enterprise and employment creation projects on a self-help basis. Nature of support: In 1990 the Trust approved two years of matching grants with the Birmingham City Council of £14,000 per annum to establish the BLCLC.
