Applicant overview: Community Consultants is an economic and social policy research co-operative which provides a research and consultancy service geared to the needs of local authorities, trade unions and voluntary groups. The co-operative is staffed by professional research workers, all of whom have extensive experience in a wide range of research techniques. The co-operative carried out survey research into violence and racism in Coventry at the behest of the Coventry Committee Against Racism (CCAG). Nature of support: In 1986 on the advice of Southfield Trustees the Trust agreed to underwrite the survey up to £3,000 in addition to a £5,000 grant. Underwriting was subsequently increased by £500 but this was not called upon. In 1987 the Trust agreed to £400 towards printing and public information expenses.
