Applicant overview: HARP was established in 1983 to help provide services to Birmingham's homeless population in collaboration with probation authorities and other local alcohol agencies. In 1987 HARP applied for support to employ a Women's/Liaison Team Supervisor to identify accommodation units for women, develop and maintain contacts, identify and develop all other resource units for women, including medical and alcohol treatment and provide an independent team to look after the needs of women. Nature of support: In 1989 the Trust agreed to fund the training post for two years at £6,000 per annum. In 1993 the Trust allocated two annual grants of £10,000 towards the HARP volunteer programme.
