The principal objectives are to, 1) promote the practical interest and involvement of companies and other organisations in advancing industry by creating or assisting in the creation of opportunities for employment in disadvantaged areas, 2) advance research relating to corporate social responsibility and community involvement policies and practices of industry and commerce, 3) advance education, and 4) preserve the environment. Nature of support: In 2010 the Trust agreed to a grant of £10,000 for a scoping exercise to consult with business, prison and probation services to identify the aspects of risk assessment and risk management, to enable BiTC to identify the focus that is required for a further project aimed to help employers employ more ex-offenders.
