Funding source(s): Barrow Cadbury Trust. Applicant overview: LRG works with young people aged 8 to 25. The organisation offers young people advice on employment and training, and provides a programme of informal education for people expelled from school. Funded by the Birmingham City Council, LRG also runs sessions on community cohesion, gangs, gun crime, conflict resolution, gender, race, culture and identity. LRG staff have also mediated between rival gangs to diffuse tensions on the streets.
