PLTW provides support to young Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Somali, Sudanese and Yemeni people who are at risk of failing, underachieving or offending. PLTW maintains that connecting young people with mentors who share the same cultural background provides these young people with the ability to integrate and the confidence to achieve. Nature of support: In 2005 the Trust agreed to a grant of £29,010 over two calendar years for a mentoring programme for young adults aged 11 to 18+ from new and emerging communities in the south of Birmingham.
