The aims of the SVSS are to relieve poverty and distress among persons who are suffering or who have suffered as a result of any criminal offences committed against them by any persons or through any means whatsoever and the families of such persons who are in need in such ways as the trustees think fit and to promote the study of, and research into, all aspects and methods of the prevention of crime and delinquency and into the hardship suffered by victims of crime and to disseminate this information. Nature of support: In 1983 Southfield Trustees recommended a grant of £1,350 be made to the SVSS. Minutes: ST 12/83. Notes: For this grant the Southfield Trust broadened its definition of the West Midlands in order to include the Staffordshire scheme. File organised from newest to oldest. File numbered '5/1/15'.
