Funding source(s): Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust, Barrow Cadbury Fund Ltd., Southfield Trust. Applicant overview: RAP was established in Britain in 1970. RAP's initial position on prisons was to abolish them. RAP publishes a newsletter, 'The Abolitionist’ and is involved in a number of reform campaigns. Nature of support: In 1981 at the recommendation of Southfield Trustees the Trust made a single grant of £5,000 for 1981. In 1981 the Fund allocated £200 for repairs to RAP premises. A further single grant of £3.000 was made in 1982. In 1983 the Trust made a parting annual grant of £3,000 to RAP. In 1984 the Fund made a single grant of £500 towards publishing 'The Abolitionist'.
