It was founded on the principle that young people need something worthwhile to do. The Port runs a youth club that meets twice a week, hosts a summer camp at Lapworth and offers a community advice service. Instigated in 1971 the total number of visits by 1973 totalled 2,296. Nature of support: In 1989 the Trust approved a grant of £6,500 towards the cost of a Development Officer pending the securing of other long term funding. Minutes: B&GSCT 7052.
