This proposal had the support of the Birmingham Social Services Department. The rest home was subsequently entitled the Golden Sunset Rest Home, and then Gordon House. Funding source(s): In 1986 the Fund agreed to guarantee a loan of up to £50,000 subsequently reduced to £25,000 on the mortgage for the property. This was in addition to a £9,500 loan.
