Funding source(s): THAC was established out of WELD and All Faiths for One Race's (AFFOR) Social Development Centre. THAC exists to advance education and relieve poverty amongst the inhabitants of Birmingham, particularly by providing advice on housing matters to the public. THAC is the main referring agency for the Midland Area Improvement Housing Association (MAIHA). Nature of support: In 1977 the Trust made a grant of £1,000 to THAC plus an additional £1,000 if funds could not be found from other sources. This sum was not drawn upon. Further funds were made available for 1981 to 1982. In 1983 the Trust agreed to support the costs of an emergency conference on housing totalling £340. A further £840 was provided for conference follow-up costs. In 1985 £742 was allocated to cover the costs of drafting and publishing the THAC annual report.
