Funding source(s): Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust. Applicant overview: The FEB Environmental Information Project (EIP) was launched in 1977. The project aims to 1) carry out the research and production of a major education pack on international wildlife conservation, 2) to produce additional material to complement this work, and 3) use this material for public education in schools. The project is staffed in part by unemployed volunteers from other employment organisations. Nature of support: In 1978 the Trust made a single grant of £1,500 towards pack publication costs. Later that year the Trust approved two annual grants of £3,300 to FEB. In 1984 the Trust made a grant of £2,000 per annum for two years with an agreement to underwrite a like amount in order to launch the FEB Birmingham Environmental Education Project.
