Funding source(s): Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust. Applicant overview: The Action Resource Centre (ARC) became a registered charity in 1974. It specialises in applying business skills in supervising young people in job placements, supporting small businesses and other employment initiatives. Birmingham ARC is based in Hockley. Nature of support: In 1980 the Trust approved a £6,500 grant for up to two years to support ARC's Marketing and Selling Advice for the Small Business and Independent Designer project. A further grant of £1,000 was made in 1983. Later that year a final grant of £1,400 was made for the project. That same year a grant of £3,800 was made towards the appointment of an ARC marketing adviser for small businesses and voluntary organisations.
