Applicant overview: The SCCC is a voluntary association run by a Community Worker who is jointly funded by Worcester Diocese, the Dudley Community Development Unit and volunteers. The Centre is in the middle of the Wren's Nest Estate, which was built in the 1930s and has been identified as an area suffering from multiple deprivation based on census indicators that include unemployment, over-crowding, single parent families etc. The Centre provides a range of activities that include a craft group, old age pensioners club, gardening project, tea dances and a parent and toddler group.
