Funding source(s): Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust. Applicant overview: Applicant overview: SCVS became a registered charity in 1975. The organisation exists to coordinate, advise and support voluntary organisations operating in the Sandwell area. Its aims include the advancement of education, the development and physical improvement and the furtherance of health and the relief of poverty and distress. Nature of support: In 1978 the Trust approved two annual grants of £4,000 to the SCVS to employ a Development Officer. In 1979 a further grant of £1,000 was made to establish an SCVS base in West Bromwich. In 1980 a salary increase for the Development Worker was approved as a single grant of £1,000.
