| AdminHistory | The Arts Council of Great Britain [ACGB] provided Banner with project grants from 1977 /1978, sometimes directly and sometimes routed via West Midlands Arts [WMA]. From 1980, ACGB sought to transfer full responsibility for funding Banner to WMA. ACGB was abolished in 1994 and its functions for England were transferred to a new body; the Arts Council of England [ACE]. In April 2002, the Arts Council of England merged with 10 regional arts boards to form a single, new organisation. This body announced its new identity and name 'Arts Council England' on 17/02/2003. |
