It sought to capture the essence of struggle, the joy and the frustration, the anger and the transformation this has created in people's lives. The core of the show was formed from the stories people told about themselves: fighting for self-determination in Ireland, for the right of immigrants to stay in Britain, to defend their jobs and so forth.
