| AdminHistory | Banner Theatre employed an archivist to organise and index the company's sound recordings in 1982 - 1983. This resulted in a card index system which is arranged by subject and also by name of person recorded. The subject index is available for consultation. However, access to the name index and to the actual tapes themselves is restricted, the former for data protection [DP] reasons and the latter for conservation reasons. These recordings were made on audio cassette tapes, which are now fragile. Many have also suffered heat, smoke or water damage. |
