| Description | Dark red and white silk ribbon rosette with, printed on a blue silk centre, 'In Thomas Attwood and Joshua Scholefield, Esqrs. our patriotic members for the Borough of Birmingham, we as independent electors, place all confidence' and four joined hands. The silk ribbon bow has attached to it a note which reads: 'This bow is the one my Father wore on the day of the Chairing (December the 17th 1832). I have never had time to write of it before & now it is nearly twelve at night and by right in the morning we must be in the coach at Birmingham. Glad indeed shall I be when we are safe at 13 Abingdon Street, January 30th 1833.' |
