| Description | These consist of manuscript accounts of the death of Samuel Galton jnr's sister Hannah, his mother Mary, and an obituary of his father-in-law Robert Barclay, all written in Samuel Galton's hand, and comprise: two copies of an account entitled 'some expressions of Hannah Galtons who died the 20th of the 10 mo. 1773 aged near 14 years' and containing entries for several days leading up to her death which include details about her religious beliefs, filed with these accounts is a manuscript account dated July 1776 which contains similar entries concerning the illness of a female not definitely identifed as Hannah Galton; account of the death of Mary Galton at Tewkesbury, en route from Cheltenham with her husband, children and servant; obituary of Robert Barclay MP, who died at his seat at Ury. |
