Gives an account of Butler's inspection of premises in Cradley and Wednesbury. Fears he will reject more pistols. Discusses customer orders and informs Bird that he has written to Pratt. Hopes he will get some more large orders for India rods, for the sake of the men, but instructs him to put a stop to their manufacture if he does not. Hopes that there will be ships sailing from London to Africa.
