Has not received a letter from his father, but thinks that as he spent a week in Africa, travelling from Tangiers to Tetouan before travelling back to Madrid via Malaga, Granada and Cordoba, he will not hear from him for some days. He is reluctant to stay in Gibraltar and will sail to Cadiz, visit Seville, and return by steamer up the east coast of Spain.
