| Description | Gives a detailed account of his voyage from Syracuse through a storm and a description of the town of Valetta. He hopes to be able to visit the tomb of Theodore Galton who died in quarantine [while travelling] with Dr [Francis] Darwin in 1809 and was buried in the Lazaretto but reports that the plague has spread to the island from Alexandria and he may have to give up his voyage to Egypt. He has met Mr Renini who has travelled in Egypt and provided him with an account of the difficulties of travelling there. |
