Gives details about the last known movements of William Archibald Douglas, who was left in the care of William Mount Allen. Allen is suspected of having taken gold and two slaves belonging to Douglas. Asks that Mrs Strutt draft letters to Mr Dalzel and inform him that he has effected insurance on ships, slaves, ivory or gold dust. Joseph Strutt has drafted a reply on the blank page of this letter
