DescriptionTracks 1 - 11: Actuality recording featuring a young woman, "Dot" (from Salford, 17 years old) and Charles Parker. Much of this young woman's actuality is used in the final programme. Track 7 is a recording setup, and then track 8 is Charles Parker making Dot re-record some of the phrases she had said previously. Dot describes one of her friend's early sexual relationships, and her group of friends.

Tracks 12 - 16: Actuality recording featuring a young man, "Joe" speaking with Charles Parker. He speaks about 'rock n roll' music and his opinions on society and life.

Tracks 17 - 18: Dot's actuality continues. She speaks about searching for meaning and begins crying. This sobbing is used in the final programme.

Tracks 19 - 30: Actuality recording featuring "Terry", from London, and Charles Parker. They discuss self-confidence and Terry gives some detail about where he grew up. He speaks about his chaging relationships with his friends, depression, cynicism, feelings of shyness and hostility, some of which is used in the final programme. He also talks about his political awakening and going on marches for nuclear disarmament.
