She talks to Philip Donnellan about her job reading the work of the stereotypers, particularly work in foreign languages for schools and colleges and editing women's magazines for blind readers. She discusses going to university, her hopes of becoming a teacher, being prevented from taking up a place at teacher training college because the school did not want blind teachers, and coming to work on French and German articles at the Braille Press (tracks 9-11).
