DescriptionInterview with Mrs Huntingdon. She talks adjusting to losing her sight, attending Oldbury Grange at Bridgnorth for a rehabilitation course to teach her how to carry out household tasks, her fears about getting burnt when cooking and about going out alone. She discusses her dislike of people doing things for her or feeling sorry for her, and wanting people to treat her as an ordinary person. She goes on to talk about losing her confidence when she lost her sight and the difficulties she would have had in regaining this confidence without people around her to support her. She thinks that people who have lost their sight need to accept it, and to live from day to day, and talks about the sorts of programmes she enjoys on television and radio. She describes how she navigates stairs and counts each step going up and down, talks about her interest in knitting and growing bulbs and her problems in identifying different coins and banknotes (tracks 1-5).
