| Description | Interview with Mrs Rhodes. She talks about her experience of losing her sight following an illness and how this manifested itself, how she adjusted to the effects of her condition and identified where people were in relation to her, and her worries about how her loss of sight was affecting her husband and family. She discusses her reluctance to go out with her husband because of her concern that people would be staring at her, her fear of divulging her blindness to other people, including her employer and how she kept it a secret for six months. She goes on to describe the process of being placed on the blind register and her subsequent feelings of depression and inertia, the assistance she received from her home teacher to learn to make rugs, and how she regained her confidence by socialising with other people in similar situations (tracks 1-6).
