He talks about feeling self conscious that people were staring at him, waiting for him to make a mistake, how he became very nervous and how he rationalised his fear. He talks about the assumption made by many sighted people that blind people are incapable and his own struggle for independence in this context, recounts instances when he has been addressed in the third person and how he felt degraded by this (tracks 1-6).
