| Description | Interview with Mr Foster. He continues to talk about experiencing prejudice because of his disability and that of his mother, his efforts to get a job in one of the light engineering workshops for the blind in Birmingham, and his views about the failings of the system of retraining blind people for employment because of his difficulty in getting a job. He discusses the efforts of his Blind Persons Resettlement Officer to get him employment and the dangers of reinforcing the prejudices against blind people if they are only employed in workshops for blind employees. He goes on to discuss the different treatment that he receives, as a blind person, when interacting with sighted people, and expresses the effect on his feeling of self-worth of not being able to earn a wage for his family. He talks about the work of the Rotarians charity, and the process of seeking employment after undergoing retraining at Letchworth (tracks 1-5).
