She talks about her belief that blind people in general shouldn't have to use white sticks, her plans to train in telephony in London, her interest in historical buildings, her poor vision in the dark and rain. Her boyfriend John (Cooper?) joins the conversation to talk about vision at night. She talks about her family background and her father's job. John Cooper talks about his plans for future training and getting a job, his desire to leave the Midlands (tracks 3-4).

Interview with Joe Paton from Essex, a student at Harborne. He talks about the loss of his sight as a baby, attending St Vincent's School in Liverpool, going out to dances when he is at home, his interest in playing beat and folk music, his favourite folk musicians and protest songs, and his hope to train as an engineer (tracks 5-6).
