He talks about his disappointment at not learning the skills to become a home teacher, instead being taught shorthand typing, and briefly describes the system of blind welfare.
Wally Kinder talks about the attitudes of sighted children and adults towards him, the reactions of his neighbours, his desire not to be treated as abnormal by sighted society, and the barriers stopping blind people from playing an independent and active role in society. He talks briefly about blind welfare and his attempts to help other blind people (tracks 1-5)
