Interview with Mr Bennett from Birmingham, a tutor at the training centre. He gives a demonstration of the skills taught in the construction of music boxes, baskets, wooden furniture, and other items made by students at the training centre. Victor Horsley, a student at the training centre, demonstrates woodwork skills. Mr Bennett discusses the difficulties in teaching students who have previously been office workers to use tools, and their reactions to learning carpentry skills. He describes the structure of the training sessions and talks about the methods used in constructing basket bases (tracks 5-6).

Interview with an unidentified man who talks about activities in the pottery workshop. He talks about the different products that are made and the freedom that students have to follow their own designs. An unidentified woman joins the conversation (track 8).
