| Description | Tracks 1 - 6: Actuality with young women and Charles Parker in two schools in West Yorkshire. Up until the middle of track 4 the actuality was recorded at Silkstone Common Primay School and from the middle of track 4 the recording was made at Oakes County Primary School. The young people take turns to recite extracts from the verbatim accounts of children to the Child Employment Commission (1842) in their own Yorkshire accents, directed by Parker who records multiple takes. The extracts are about the experiences of young women working in mines.
