The young people take turns to recite extracts from the verbatim accounts of children to the Child Employment Commission (1842) in their own Yorkshire accents, directed by Parker who records multiple takes. The extracts are about the education, working conditions and experiences for mining children at the time of the testimonies.

Tracks 7 - 11: Actuality with 'Wally Walker' reading from script of the play 'Old Horse' in a broad Yorkshire acccent and then sings the song 'Old Horse'. Parker, Walker and an unidentified woman discuss a photograph of a group of people in a production of 'Old Horse'.
