| Description | Recording of interviews for the 'Battle of St Ann's' project: Tracks 1 - 11 follow on from MS 4000/6/1/66/1 and continue on MS 4000/6/1/66/3, MS 4000/6/1/66/4, MS 4000/6/1/66/5 & MS 4000/6/1/66/6. The interviews are with Bil Sel (Bill Shilbern?) and in later interviews with Ken Coates regarding the studies undertaken by the social study group into 'slum dwellings' and 'poverty' in St Ann's area, the location of the interview is not identified: for more information see Sub Series level. The tracks frequently run into each other.
Tracks 1 - 7: Probably interviews with Bill Sel. Track 1: A discussion of how the group tried to approach the study without preconceptions, how they studied the whole community: interviewed everybody those in/not in poverty and cycle of poverty. 3.27 mins. Track 2: A discussion of how the 'poor' lack resources and that the whole community is suffering from deprivation. The discussion then moves onto the reaction to the study from their contemporaries. 3.02 mins. Track 3: A discussion about the study group class.
