Dialogue and quote (Charles Parker) from the book regarding fighting the cold and damp. Insert comments from members of the social study groups of fighting on against these conditions, slum landlords, maintenance and repairs.
Tracks 11-12: Inserts with residents and members of the social study class discussing the clearance, rehousing and displacement: communication with/and treatment of residents by the council.
Track 12-13: Inserts with residents and members of the social study class discussing living in a slum, the discussion moves to the problems caused by the pork farm factory and attempted action by residents
Tracks 14-15: Inserts with residents and members of the social study class discussing dispirited attitude of the residents and the organisation of tenants into action.
Tracks 15-16: Dialogue (Charles Parker). Inserts with residents and members of the social study class discussing problem families, the reputation of the area and the stigma of living in St Ann's.
Track 17-19: Dialogue (Charles Parker). Inserts with residents and members of the social study class discussing their view of the wider world and social justice. Then the discussion moves to the effect of social study/survey on students and their view of these things of value in St Ann's. Inserts with residents and social study class discussing the residents' association and community action.
