Howlett talks about her ideas for how the local schools could work better. A male teacher in the room contributes to the discussion, and talks about whether he thinks that young people should go to school near to where they live. Another (female) teacher later joins the discussion from track 3 and they discuss teaching children with problems in comprehensive schools. They discuss truancy and addressing it. The teachers speak about teaching in the Crypt, a non-traditional educational establishment for young people that play truant from mainstream schools.

Tracks 6 - 11: Actuality with a family from East London, the Steers family, and Charles Parker. Mrs Steer speaks about her opinion on the schools her children have attended, with reference to how the family has moved from place to place in East London. The daughter speaks about what it was like to change schools and the difference between primary and secondary schools. The daughter and mother discuss how the school she attends helps them learn about other cultures. The daughter discusses whether she prefers living in flats or houses. The family discuss the housing provisions in East London with particular reference to Bow.
