The group talk about modern ideologies and youth movements such as punk rock and anarchy, and finding one's own identity. Keith Bennett speaks about his current studies of microbiology at university. Barbara and Keith Bennett (23 years and 19 years old respectively) talk about the history of the area that they went to school in, and the cultural diversity of the area with reference to the Jewish community. The two Bennett children speak about encountering racism against them while at school from the other children. The Bennett parents speak about moving to the East End from Tottenham in London. The father is from Jamaica and the mother is a white woman from Leeds, Yorkshire. Mrs Bennett speaks about what she likes (including the people) and dislikes (including the housing) about the East End of London. Keith and Barbara Bennett describe childhood and playground games they would play. Barbara Bennett speaks about how there were ruins that the children would play in left over from the Second World War when she was a child, and compares it with the spaces that children in her contemporary time have. Mrs Bennett speaks about the street games she would play as a child in Leeds. The group talk about youth subcultures with reference to punk. The Bennett children talk about going to secondary school outside the East End and feeling as though they have to change their accent to fit in.
