This is a continuation of Charles Parker's interview at Glyncorrwg. John Robson considers general issues relating to the health service and he and Mary Hart discuss health provision in South Wales.
The effects of the 1974 reorganisation on control of the Health Service is noted (Track 1) and the influence of drugs companies on the health service is referred to (Tracks 1 - 2). Difficulties of maintaining effective dental services within the NHS are considered and dental and medical payment systems are discussed (Tracks 2 - 3).
Tracks 4 -14 consider health services in Glyncorrwg and provide details of the health centre. there. A description of the village and the Afan Valley is given and the impact of the South Pit's closure is noted (Tracks 4 - 5). A description is also provided of the celebrations for Queen Elizabeth's Silver Jubilee in Maerdy and the Rhondda Valley.
