| Description | Tracks 1 - 20
Tracks 1 - 17 are a continuation of the Public Service Union Conference at Digbeth Civic Institute. Tracks 18 - 19 record an interview of two union representatives. Track 20 is silent. Parker and Dave Rogers (?) record speakers at the conference, at which agreement is reached that delegates recommend an agreed course of action including strikes (Track 12) Amongst many speakers is Chris Adamson, who talks in a personal capacity rather than as a representative of NUPE (Track 3).
Tracks 12 - 15 are concerned with the recent dispute at Hounslow Hospital. The growing use of protest occupations and work-ins as weapons in public sector industrial disputes is considered (Track 14). Reference is made to the Campaign against Criminal Trespass Law (Track 14).
Campaigns for the opening of closed nursery schools and the retention of Birmingham Accident Hospital are noted (Track 16). The conference is advised of the plight of workers suspended for being arrested at Grunwick and anti-fascist action in Ladywood. Comments are made about the effectiveness of their union (NALGO) in defending them (Track 17).
Tracks 18 - 19 cover an interview by Charles Parker of two union representatives (possibly from the Transport and General Workers' Union). The threshold system of wage settlements is discussed (Track 18) and strong criticism is levelled at union officials and hierarchy (not just the T & GWU). The Grunwick dispute and the forced closure at Hounslow Hospital are considered (Track 19).
