Track 1 records snippets of various programmers on different channels.

Tracks 2 - 5 relate to the BBC TV programme 'Nationwide' broadcast on 17 January 1978 which was concerned with racist attacks on community relations units, black bookshops and members of minority communities. Attacks on community relations offices in Sandwell, Hackney, Merton and Ealing are described and a range of people are interviewed. These include representatives of Sandwell and Hackney CRU, the London Bookshops Association and the National Front. Father Charles of Gravelly Hill Church, Birmingham is also interviewed, in which he outlines the type of attacks he and his church have endured for making the church hall available to Rastafarians (Track 2). The activities of right wing extremists is discussed and the policies and attitudes of he National Front and the Iron Cross Association are considered.

Tracks 6 - 15 cover the first part of a union meeting called to address the proposed closure of hospitals in Birmingham. Amongst many hospitals discussed are Birmingham Accident (Track 9) and Sorrento Maternity hospitals. Criticism is made of the lack of detailed knowledge about working at Sorrento revealed at a recent special meeting of South Birmingham Community Health Council (Track 10).

Please note that the sound quality of tracks 6 - 15 is poor.
