AdminHistoryRutland Boughton (1878-1960) was well-known in the early twentieth century as an operatic and choral composer and was most famous for his opera 'The Immortal Hour', which was first performed in 1914. The libretto for his choral drama, 'Bethlehem' (1915) was adapted from the medieval Coventry Nativity Play.
