| Title | Letter from Elizabeth Taylor to John and Mary Jane Taylor |
| Level | Item |
| Date | [n.d. January 1874] |
| Description | Elizabeth thanks her parents for the box which they had sent to her. Elizabeth notes that she had been ice skating and describes the New Year's Eve celebrations at her school, remarking on the school play which the girls had performed and the dancing which had been held afterwards.
Although this letter is undated it is possible to suggest a date of January 1874 as the letter was written close to New Year's Eve and Elizabeth does not mention her sister Margaret (Pearlie) being present at the celebrations, Margaret having returned home in the Autumn of 1873. |
